I was so happy to get my hands on CTCMath!
My daughter has loved her CTC Math lessons since she was five years old. Even now, at eight years old, she still requests her “CTC!” She has a mathematical mind and is quick to pick up concepts. She loves doing problems in her head. Once she learns an idea, she doesn’t like to have constant repetition. Because CTCMath is a mastery approach math curriculum, my daughter can move on after mastering her lesson! (But don’t worry if you have a child who needs more repetition or who enjoys the reinforcement of practicing previously-learned concepts! There are worksheets you can print for extra practice, and your child can repeat lessons any time! More on that in a moment.)

Auditory and Visual Learners
Each CTCMath lesson is short with both audio and visual components, so your auditory and visual learners will get what they need. As they watch lessons, they hear the task as well as read and see it. And they can go back and watch a video or do practice problems as often as they like or need. (Unlike me, the CTCMath teacher never gets frustrated explaining a lesson for the one-millionth time!)
Hands-On Learners
But there is also the option to print off worksheets if you feel your kiddo needs additional practice. There is even a printable version of the lesson that you can print off for future reference! Some lessons include online manipulatives such as counters to move around with the mouse, and some include scratch pads and games for times tables, speed skills, etc. If you like, you could also encourage your child to use an abacus or other hands-on manipulatives. And of course children are encouraged to use a paper and pencil to complete their work instead of only entering their answers online.

Helping Your Child Love Math
CTCMath is perfect for kids that struggle with math and those that enjoy math. It is excellent for moms who need to take one thing off their plate. Preferably homeschool math!
